# Marketing & Development

The initial funds into the Marketing & Development arm of the protocol is responsible for various aspects of the project. These funds are enough to secure an 18 month outlook that includes pre-development, ongoing maintenance & marketing, and future development & promotion costs. As the protocol increases participants, minimal buy and sell fees of $GEN will be sufficient to support the growth beyond the initial launch.
